The Komansky Center for Children’s Health at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, along with Honorary Chair Lucy Liu, raised more than $1.4 million at the seventh annual Plates for Pediatrics benefit. NYP-CUMC-Receives-Grant-to-Establish-Youth-Opportunity-Hub

NewYork-Presbyterian, in collaboration with Columbia University Medical Center, has received a four year, $10.3 million grant from the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office Criminal Justice Investment Initiative (“CJII”) to establish a Youth Opportunity Hub in Washington Heights. The grant will allow NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center, along with other community partners, to serve 250 youths aged 14 to 24 years, who have been or are at risk for involvement with the juvenile or adult judicial systems.

The pediatric trauma center at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center has been verified as a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons (ACS).

NYP-Brooklyn-Methodist-Stroke-Program-Recognized

NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital was honored for its stroke program at this year’s American Heart Association/American Stroke Association (AHA/ASA) 2017 International Stroke Conference in Houston, Texas. The AHA/ASA recognizes hospitals that comply with its Get with the Guidelines quality measures, and NYP Brooklyn Methodist was given the Gold Plus Performance Achievement Award as well as a difficult-to-obtain spot on the Target: Stroke Elite Plus Honor Roll.
