Nursing Leadership Academy

Nurses play an indispensable role in ensuring the safe delivery and efficient implementation of high-quality care in shaping patient outcomes in clinical settings. Our Nursing Leadership Academy program is designed to give nurses the tools they need to become successful organizational leaders and an empowered team. Participants will have the chance to connect with experts in the field, learn effective leadership strategies, and get the latest updates on healthcare best practices.

Target Audience

This program is for all types of nurse leaders, including patient care directors, clinical nurse managers, and nursing administrators. Our curriculum is tailored to every career level— whether you’re new to your leadership role or have years of experience under your belt, the Nursing Leadership Academy can help you hone and develop valuable skills that you can implement within your own team.
The Nursing Leadership Academy is open to NewYork-Presbyterian nurse leaders as well as national and international participants outside of the organization.

Program Overview

As a participant, you’ll explore a range of topics relevant to nurses in leadership positions, such as organizational alignment, self-development, team building, and talent management. The program also features:

Our leadership program requires the participant’s full program attendance and completion of any required course documents. The Planning Committee, presenters, faculty, authors, and content reviewers have no conflicts of interest to disclose. Disclosure forms are required and have been reviewed for any issues. 

Speakers are required to present balanced and unbiased presentations. The presentation content has been reviewed and any bias has been eliminated. Accredited status does not imply endorsement by NewYork Presbyterian or ANCC Commission on Accreditation of any commercial products displayed in conjunction with this program.
