Lawrence Medical Associates (LMA), a new multi-specialty physician practice affiliated with Lawrence Hospital Center in Bronxville, is expanding. According to Gerald A. Ridge, MD, Medical Director of LMA, the original group of board certified physicians in Internal and Geriatric medicine, has grown to include other specialists who are board certified in Internal Medicine, Oncology, and Cardiology.

Lawrence Hospital Center in Bronxville is highlighting the importance of making informed food choices during National Nutrition Month. This year's focus is on combining both taste and nutrition, because eating healthy doesn't have to mean eating bland, tasteless food.

LHC-to-Hold-Nutrition-Lunch-and-Learns

Dietitians from LHC’s Food and Nutrition Services Department will be holding free Lunch and Learns in recognition of National Nutrition Month in March. “Enjoying the Taste of Eating Right” lectures will be held each week from Noon to 1 p.m. in either the Lobby Conference Room or Palmer Hall’s 3rd floor Conference Room. Lunch will also be provided.

Guided-Meditation-Sessions-for-Those-with-a-Cancer-Diagnosis

Lawrence Hospital Center will be holding guided meditation sessions for those who have been diagnosed with cancer. The sessions will be held every fourth Thursday from 4-5 p.m. at Lawrence's Palmer Hall, 3rd floor conference room. The first session will be held on February 27th.

Create-Your-Weight-Program-at-Lawrence-Hospital-Center

Create Your Weight is a 10-week, multifaceted adult weight management program that is scientifically based. The class is taught by Registered Dietitian Katie Campbell who focuses on the three most important aspects for long term, successful weight loss: education, physical activity and behavior change.
