From screening and diagnosis to treatment and follow-up care, you can receive the full range of services you need. If you have an increased risk of a gynecologic cancer because of a family history of the disease, you can consult with a genetic counselor, access genetic testing (for example, screening for BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutations or Lynch syndrome), and receive customized treatment recommendations to reduce your risk.

Our Approach to Care
Our expert multidisciplinary team includes gynecologic oncologists, medical oncologists, and radiation oncologists who are on the faculty at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. They work closely with oncology-certified nurses and supportive care professionals to provide your care. We get to know you and your family, your life events, and your personal preferences, and we take these into account when planning and providing your treatment. Patient navigators coordinate your screening exams and the various components of your care and serve as your point of contact for any questions you or your family may have.
We understand that a diagnosis of cancer can be challenging for you as well as your loved ones. That's why we offer psychosocial, nutritional, and other support services for women with gynecologic cancers. Your team ensures that your quality of life is the best it can be from the moment of diagnosis and throughout your treatment.
