Santa’s Helpers at NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital will be getting a little extra help from the Paramount Hudson Valley Theater again this year. The landmark theater’s operators are again pledging to donate a portion of the ticket sales from the Westchester Ballet’s performance of the Nutcracker to the Hospital’s “Santa’s Helpers” program.

Each year 1 in 100 female high school athletes will suffer a serious knee injury. The Center for Rehabilitation at NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital is doing something about it with a new Sports Medicine program that specializes in injury prevention, performance enhancement and rehabilitation of sports injuries.

NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital’s program for hospitalized older adults has been recognized by the prestigious NYU College of Nursing program as one of the top NICHE hospitals in the nation.

A fine art exhibit titled " Landscape Visions " is now open as part of the Art for Health program at NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital. This exhibit highlights the works of six artists and features a special guest artist, Elaine Galen of Mount Kisco, whose work has been exhibited internationally.

Employees at NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital were honored on May 9 for their years of service to the Hospital, some putting in 40 years on the job. Two hundred and thirty of the Hospital’s 1,200 employees were also honored for perfect attendance.

In what has become a special annual tradition, NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital this week recognized its unsung heroes by adding the portraits of 12 more employees to its Wall of Heroes in honor of their contributions to the hospital and their patients.

NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital opened its Farmer’s Market today for the season with a variety of vendors offering fresh produce and other specialty items.
