ATMs
ATMs are located in the atrium on the main floor of the Greenberg Pavilion and in the Garden Cafe on the “B” level.
Bathroom/Shower Facilities
Shower facilities are available for parents and caregivers. There is either a shower in your child's room or a common shower facility outside the unit. Common shower facilities are single bathroom/shower rooms and are available to everyone on the floor. Amenity kits and towels are available.
Breastfeeding
If you are breastfeeding and are at any time unable to nurse your child, breast pumps are available. If you need a breast pump kit, please ask your nurse.
Family Lounge
Our main family lounge is located in the Greenberg Pavilion, Room 6-636. The lounge provides a comfortable, welcoming space with tables and chairs for dining, a television set, and computers with internet access for use by families.
Free Internet Access
Personal laptop computers and most other mobile wireless devices may be used in the hospital. To access the internet:
- Open wireless networks
- Click on the “Guest-Net” wireless address
- Accept the terms/conditions
Free Interpreter Services
If you would prefer to discuss your child’s medical treatment in a language other than English, including sign language, an interpreter can be arranged at no cost. Just ask a member of the staff. Equipment for patients who are hearing or visually impaired is also available.

The Gift Shop is located behind the Information Desk. It offers a wide selection of items including toiletries, cards, snacks, phone chargers, flowers, beverages, stamps, over-the-counter medicine, and Mylar balloons.

Integrative Health & Wellbeing (646) 697-9355
NewYork-Presbyterian David H. Koch Center
Located on 69th Street between York and First Avenues
Integrative Health and Wellbeing offers comprehensive care to promote your physical, psychological, and social wellbeing. Therapies include nutritional counseling, acupuncture, massage therapy, and mind-body instruction such as meditation, mindfulness, guided imagery, and yoga. These therapies can help to promote relaxation and reduce stress and anxiety. Call the above number to make an appointment.

Laundry
Laundry facilities are available 24 hours a day for use by families and caregivers at no cost. The laundry room is located across from the family lounge in the Greenberg Pavilion, Room 6-309. Free detergent is available upon request from the unit clerk.
Multifaith Chapel
The Leland Eggleston Cofer Memorial Chapel is located in the first floor lobby of the hospital’s main entrance at 525 East 68th Street. The chapel is open 24 hours daily for prayer and meditation for people of all faiths. Current worship schedules are available from the Pastoral Care and Education Department at (212) 746-6971.
Parent Accommodations
Parents are encouraged to stay overnight with their children. Pull out beds and linens are available in each room.

There are several parking garages in the area. Most major credit cards are accepted.

There is a Walgreens pharmacy on the first floor of the hospital near the Greenberg Pavilion elevators. Prescriptions can be filled here and there is a small selection of over-the-counter items.
Postal Drop Box
There is a postal drop box to mail letters near the 1300 York Avenue hospital entrance. Should you need additional services, there is a U.S. Post Office located at 217 70th Street between Second and Third Avenues. The hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm (last collection at 5:00 pm) and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm (last collection at 4:00 pm).
Quiet Room
The quiet room, Room 6-311, is located next to the family lounge. It provides an additional option for parents and caregivers to stay overnight or rest during the day. For more information, please speak with the unit clerk.
Sibling Visits
The hospital’s visitation guidelines change from time to time. Please check the current guidelines before planning a sibling visit. If visits are permitted, it is helpful for siblings to be prepared for what they may see or hear. Speak with the child life specialist on your child’s unit if you would like to make arrangements for them to assist in preparing for the visit.
Television Service
The hospital provides complimentary television access at your child’s bedside. A DVD player is also available at every bedside for family use. Please feel free to bring your child’s favorite DVDs from home or ask your child life specialist to borrow one from the hospital DVD library.
Places to Eat at the Hospital
Garden Cafe
Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 9:00 pm
Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 am to 8:00 pm
The cafeteria-style Garden Café is located on the “B” level of the main hospital building. It is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can ask for directions at the Information Desk.
Au Bon Pain Cafe
Seven days a week, 24 hours a day
The cafe is located near the Information Desk.
Vending Machines
Vending machines are available 24 hours a day near the Garden Cafe on the “B” level. Additional vending machines are located in the main family lounge in the Greenberg Pavilion.
In addition, there are many restaurants in the area that cater to all tastes and budgets. Feel free to order food and eat in the family lounge or your room.
