Our medically supervised Cardiac Rehabilitation program consists of education and individualized physical conditioning. Our program adheres to the guidelines established by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) and The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).
Individuals 18 years of age and older with many different forms of heart disease may benefit from rehabilitation, particularly if their medical history includes:
- Heart attack
- Heart failure
- Heart transplant
- Heart valve replacement
- Angioplasty and stents
- Coronary artery bypass surgery
- Stable angina
About The Program
When your physician refers you for rehabilitation therapy, you will have an initial evaluation to assess your physical ability and help you establish personal goals. Based on the information from your initial assessment and in collaboration with your physician, our staff will design an individual exercise program to meet your medical needs. Your program will last approximately 12 weeks.
Our Cardiac Rehabilitation Program provides lifestyle modification education and counseling to lower your risk for future heart problems, such as following a heart-healthy diet and maintaining a healthy weight.
