About the Program
Your physician refers you for cardiac or pulmonary rehabilitation. You will have an initial evaluation to assess your physical ability as well as help you establish personal goals. Based on the information from your initial evaluation and in collaboration with your physician, our staff will design an individual exercise program to meet your medical needs.
Your program will last approximately 12 weeks. For Cardiac Rehabilitation, you will exercise three times per week for about an hour. Your heart rhythm, heart rate and blood pressure will be closely monitored. For Pulmonary Rehabilitation, you will exercise two times per week. Your heart rate, blood pressure and oxygen saturation will be closely monitored. We will send monthly progress reports to your personal physician to keep him/her informed about your status.
