Who We Are
NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital is a fully accredited general, voluntary, not-for-profit 128-bed Hospital serving the community with high quality health care through our team of more than 350 physicians and 1,300 employees.
The Hospital was founded in 1889 by the Helping Hand Association. Today, the Hospital boasts excellent inpatient care in both medical and surgical units, a busy maternity unit, an intensive care unit, and a progressive care unit. The Hospital operates a full-service state-of-the-art, 24-hour, "no-wait" emergency department along with a state-of-the-art surgical center, laboratories, cardio-pulmonary center, and a physical therapy center.
The hospital’s services reach out to the community with our affiliates in Yorktown, Croton, Putnam Valley and Cold Spring. However, patients come from Dutchess County in the north and Orange County to the west.
The Board of Directors, made up of dedicated community citizens from the Hospital's service area, provides leadership without remuneration to maintain and expand Hospital programs offered to the community.

Our Services
EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
The region’s only full service state-of-the-art 24-hour "no wait" emergency department. Also provides a certified stroke center to handle life-threatening emergencies. Doubled in size during the recent expansion program to 39 treatment bays, the hospital Emergency Department is the second busiest emergency service in Westchester.
SURGERY CENTER
A new state of the art, all digital Surgery Center was constructed as part of the hospital’s major renovation and expansion project. The Center has six operating rooms, with 14 same day bays and 10 PACU bays.
INTENSIVE CARE UNIT
A 10-bed Intensive Care Unit and a family area provides around the clock care. Plans for this area include a major renovation.
PROGRESSIVE CARE UNIT
Our Progressive Care Unit is an extension of the Intensive Care Unit and provides point of care computerized technology with 14 beds, several equipped with bariatric lifts, beds and visitor furniture.
MATERNITY CENTER AND NEONATAL INTENSIVE CARE UNIT
Our eight bed Maternity Center as the best place to give birth in Westchester.
CARDIO-PULMONARY REHABILITATION CENTER
The John M. Zarcone Cardio-Pulmonary Rehabilitation Center is an individualized program to meet the cardiac and pulmonary fitness needs of patients who have suffered a heart attack, angina, heart surgery or suffer from COPD.
CENTER FOR REHABILITATION SERVICES
A newly constructed, state of the art, rehabilitation center provides physical therapy and occupational therapy by a team of certified professionals. Services are also located at satellite locations and The Center s a member of the Hospital for Special Surgery network.
CENTER FOR DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING
State-of-the-art angiography, mammography, Digital mammography and 3-D mammography, Extra-wide MRI, PET Scanning, CT, ultrasound are just a few of the diagnostic capabilities offered. Also, iCAD (Computer Aided Detection) for a second look in the early detection of breast cancer. A Women’s Imaging Center that connects to the Ashikari Breast Center, part of the Cheryl R. Lindenbaum Cancer Center.
WELLNESS CENTER
A Hospital-based fitness center offering personalized fitness plans and fitness and wellness classes.
MINIMALLY INVASIVE SURGERY CENTER
Physicians trained in minimally invasive procedures including single incision, laparoscopic surgeries including lung, hernia, gallbladder, reflux, sinus and orthopedic procedures.
