Cancer Services Program

Cancer screening can save lives—it’s the best way to find cancer early when it may be easier to treat.

The Cancer Services Program at NewYork-Presbyterian provides free cancer screenings at participating doctor’s offices.

To be eligible for the free screening program, you must:

  • Live in New York State
  • Not having health insurance or being underinsured
  • Meet age and income requirements

Types of Cancer Screenings Available

  • Breast cancer
    • Mammogram and clinical breast exam
  • Cervical cancer
    • Pap test, high-risk HPV test, pelvic exam
  • Colorectal cancer
    • Fecal occult blood test/fecal immunochemical test kit
    • Colonoscopy (for individuals who are at increased or high risk for colorectal cancer)

Age Requirements

  • Breast cancer screening
    • Age 40 and over
    • At high risk for breast cancer under 40
  • Cervical cancer screening
    • Age 40 and older
  • Colorectal cancer screening
    • Age 45 and older
    • At increased or high risk for colon cancer if under 45
