Working collaboratively under one roof, our multidisciplinary women’s health teams combine innovative clinical approaches and cutting-edge technology to provide exceptional, comprehensive care to women in the Brooklyn community.

Combining the medical leadership and clinical distinction of NewYork-Presbyterian & Weill Cornell Medicine and the vast services and resources of the NewYork-Presbyterian healthcare network, we offer a full continuum of well-woman services and advanced care for all conditions that affect a woman’s reproductive system. Our experienced and compassionate ob-gyns provide routine gynecologic check-ups, health screenings, contraception and family planning, prenatal care, childbirth and postpartum care, and menopause care. They diagnose and treat various gynecologic conditions, including abnormal vaginal bleeding, cervical disease, cysts, incontinence, pelvic floor problems, and uterine fibroids. Should you need more specialized care, we offer seamless access to specialists in urogynecology, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, gynecology oncology, and infertility.

Advanced Gynecologic Ultrasound

At NewYork-Presbyterian Brookyn Methodist Hospital, we have the latest gynecologic ultrasound equipment and a staff of experts dedicated to advanced imaging. We provide gynecologic ultrasound services to:

• Diagnose and monitor gynecologic conditions such as fibroids
• Assess the cause of pelvic pain
• Screen for gynecologic cancers
• Examine the inside of the uterus using “saline-infusion sonohysterography”
• Perform postoperative follow-up exams

Cancer Screenings and Prevention

• Breast cancer screening referrals, including mammography, 3-D mammography, and MRI
• Cervical cancer screenings
• Genetic testing and counseling to learn if you are at risk for cancer

Advanced Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery

At NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, we aim to offer the best treatment through the least invasive method. Our gynecologic surgeons have unmatched expertise in minimally invasive approaches, including hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, and robotic surgery, to treat the most complex and challenging gynecologic conditions, such as pelvic pain, uterine fibroids, endometriosis. These approaches result in smaller incisions, less postoperative discomfort, and a quicker return to your normal activities, so you can return to doing the things you enjoy sooner. Our urogynecologists perform surgery to repair pelvic floor problems, such as uterine prolapse and urinary and fecal incontinence. Most of these procedures can be performed on an outpatient basis so you can return to the comfort of your home the same day.

Breast Imaging Center of Excellence

NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital has been designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR), making it one of only two hospitals in Brooklyn to receive this prestigious honor. ACR Center of Excellence accreditation is considered the gold seal for imaging procedures. It confirms that women receiving their mammograms and breast sonograms at the Hospital’s Department of Radiology are being treated with the highest level of care.
