At NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist, our main concern is the best possible outcomes that allow you to lead a full life. For that to happen, our multi-disciplinary team of care providers work with you to build a care plan that fits your life.
Our cardiac surgery department is at the forefront of less invasive surgery and one of the only centers in New York utilizing robotic technology in cardiac surgery. By using smaller access incisions or robotic technology, we allow the patients who are candidates for these techniques to recover and get back to normal life more quickly. NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is also one of the few hospitals in the area to perform extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) in cases of sudden deterioration in heart or lung function.
