The Labor and Delivery Suite at NewYork-Presbyterian Allen Hospital features:

• An admission/triage area
• Eleven labor and delivery rooms
• Two surgical suites for C-sections

Seven of our labor and delivery rooms are spacious, with private baths, and are used for labor and childbirth. We use the remaining four rooms for triage, antepartum care, and postoperative care.

Our staff is experienced in caring for women having a vaginal birth after a C-section. In most cases, physicians deliver babies with assistance from certified nurse-midwives. Women at low risk of complications may have their babies delivered by midwives at their request.

Anesthesiologists and neonatologists are also part of our team and are available onsite. They are also on the team at NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital.
