For more than 20 years, The Bereavement Center of Westchester has provided a safe place for those grieving the death of a loved one. We believe that grief is a personal journey and that each individual deserves the opportunity to grieve in a supportive and accepting environment. Through peer support groups and counseling, our trained volunteers and staff offer the special attention needed to move through the pain of grief toward hope and healing.
The cornerstone of BCW is the Tree House, a program designed specifically for children ages four to eighteen whose parent or sibling has died, as well as a separate group for their surviving parent or guardian. We also offer Adult Bereavement Groups (for Child Loss, Spouse/Partner Loss, Parent Loss and Pregnancy Loss), Individual Counseling, and a School Outreach Program.
