About Our Program
In recent years, significant progress has been made in the early diagnosis and treatment of breast disease. At NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, breast surgeons specializing in the latest advances in breast care work with a team of specialists to provide individualized, comprehensive care to patients, including neoadjuvant and adjuvant chemotherapy, targeted therapies, radiation techniques, genetic information, pathology, breast imaging, oncology nutrition, and the important aspects of compassion and supportive psychological considerations that surround breast disease.
Our breast surgeons diagnose and treat a full spectrum of breast diseases, including breast cancer and benign breast conditions. In all cases, we work collaboratively with our patients, providing informational tools and the support needed to participate confidently in shaping their individual care. All of our surgical services and programs are supported by expert diagnostic and therapeutic care, including our new 3D mammography exam, a clinically proven screening technology that allows for better, more accurate detection of breast disease in the fight against breast cancer. NewYork-Presbyterian Queens is an accredited breast center by the American College of Surgeons, National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), and is the only hospital in the borough of Queens to be named a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology.

NewYork-Presbyterian Queens is proud to be an NAPBC-accredited breast center. The National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) is a quality program administered by the American College of Surgeons (ACS). To achieve NAPBC accreditation, a breast center must demonstrate compliance with the NAPBC standards that address a center’s leadership, clinical services, research, community outreach, professional education, and quality improvement for patients. Breast centers seeking NAPBC accreditation undergo a comprehensive site visit every three years.
