NYP Queens is now one of only a few Level I Trauma Centers in the New York region. A Level I Trauma Center must provide round-the-clock access to a trauma surgeon, operating room as well as every subspecialty of surgery available.
NYP Queens Trauma Center has achieved the highest distinction given by the American College of Surgeons being verified as a Level I Trauma Center. The Trauma Service at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens is a dedicated team of doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals. Comprised of health care professionals from Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Radiology, and other departments, we will guide you through all phases of trauma care and recovery. Our job is to get you back to living your life. We are also working to make our community safer through outreach programs in injury prevention. The best way to survive an injury, after all, is to prevent it.
