NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is affiliated with two outstanding medical schools - Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and Weill Cornell Medical College. The Columbia University Health Services Library and the Weill Cornell Medical Library provide access to extensive collections of journals, books, archival materials and electronic resources to students, faculty and staff of their respective universities and the staff of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and its affiliated institutions.
Columbia University Health Services Library
The Augustus C. Long Health Sciences Library is one of the largest academic medical libraries in the country. Students and faculty may access the full text of online journals without cost or being required to enter personal information in order to have this access. Instruction in the methods of navigating online resources, including resources used in evidence based practice, is available to all students and faculty of the Medical Center.
As members of the Columbia community, students and faculty at the Health Sciences campus are entitled to privileges at any of the Columbia University Libraries.

Weill Cornell Medical Library: The C.V. Starr Biomedical Information Center
The Weill Cornell Medical Library is the principal information resource of the Weill Cornell Medical College, Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences, and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. It is composed of the Samuel J. Wood Library and the C.V. Starr Biomedical Information Center. Those with access to the libraries:
- All staff of NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell and affiliated institutions (To find out if your institution is affiliated, call the Library Circulation Desk at 646-962-2570)
- Students, faculty and staff of the Weill Cornell Medical College and Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences
- Alumni of Weill Medical College or NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell must show an alumni card (Alumni Office: 212-746-6546)
