Varicella Isolation
Varicella isolation is used to help keep individuals who are not immune to the Chickenpox safe from having contact with patients with the active disease.
When visiting a patient:
- Do not enter the room if you have not had Chickenpox or the vaccine.
- If you have had the Chickenpox or the vaccine, perform hand hygiene before entering the room.
- Perform hand hygiene before leaving the room.
