New York Methodist Hospital offers a free breastfeeding support group for new mothers. This group meets weekly on Tuesdays from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Breastfeeding Support Group focuses on providing encouragement and information for mothers and their newborns, from birth to three months old. A certified lactation consultant leads the group. The meetings take place in the Hospital's Wesley House, Rooms 3K-C, 501 Sixth Street, Park Slope, Brooklyn. No registration is necessary. New York Methodist Hospital and the Carolyne E. Czap and Eugene Czap Alzheimer's Program offers support groups for caretakers of patients, and for patients themselves, experiencing cognitive deficits and/or memory loss. The Alzheimer's Disease Care 4 Caretakers group will meet on Monday, September 12, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Hospital's Executive Dining Room located at 506 Sixth Street, Park Slope, Brooklyn. In partnership with the National MS Society, New York Methodist Hospital offers a free support group for patients living with multiple sclerosis (MS).The group focuses on teaching participants mind and body techniques to manage stress associated with MS. Mind/Body Methods for Managing MS Stress will meet on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Hospital's Buckley 8, Conference Room 820, located at 506 Sixth Street, Park Slope, Brooklyn. This month join Jeff Rosenfeld, Ph.D., of the Senior Umbrella Network of Brooklyn, for How to Avoid Falls this Fall.
