Phyllis Lantos Named One of Becker’s Hospital Review’s "CFOs to Know" for 2017

Phyllis Lantos, executive vice president, treasurer and chief financial officer of NewYork-Presbyterian, has been named to Becker’s Hospital Review’s annual list of “CFOs to Know.” Published today, the list recognizes 150 prominent hospital and health system CFOs across the country who have helped their organizations navigate the challenges in healthcare today.

“Phyllis has been instrumental to our success as we have expanded to treat a growing number of patients in the New York metro area,” said Dr. Steven J. Corwin, president and CEO, NewYork-Presbyterian. “Since joining as chief financial officer, she has done a tremendous job of ensuring our financial stability so that we can continue to provide the highest quality care to our patients.”

As executive vice president and chief financial officer, Ms. Lantos is responsible for all financial-related matters. She also serves as an advisor on healthcare reform and financial policy implications, and works closely with finance leaders across NewYork-Presbyterian to prepare for, and respond to, industry challenges.

Ms. Lantos initially joined NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in 2000 as senior vice president and chief financial officer. Prior to joining NewYork-Presbyterian, she served as deputy chief operating officer at Yale University School of Medicine and vice president of financial management services at Montefiore Medical Center. She has also held positions with the City of New York and Chemical Bank. She holds a S.M. Management degree from the Alfred P. Sloan School of Management (M.I.T.) and an S.B. in Mathematics from M.I.T.
