Osteoarthritis is a common musculoskeletal disease. It is the deterioration of cartilage that commonly affects the hands, hips, knees, neck, and back. Successful treatment stops or slows the progression of the disease.
On Tuesday, March 11, 2008, New York Methodist Hospital, the New York Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation®, and Councilman DiBlasio will sponsor "Osteoarthritis Updates." The lecture will be given by New York Methodist Hospital's Chairman of Rheumatology, Placido Morano, M.D. The event will take place from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in METRO SPORTSMED®, located in the Hospital's Medical Office Pavilion, 263 7th Avenue, Suite 2A, Park Slope Brooklyn.
