NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital Wins Guardian of Excellence Award
Oct 29, 2014
For the fourth time in recent years, NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital has captured one of Press Ganey’s prestigious awards.
The Hospital received the 2014 "Guardian of Excellence Award" for clinical excellence from Press Ganey at the organization’s annual convention in Orlando, Fla. November 3-5.
"This is no easy feat," said NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital President John Federspiel. "To qualify, our medical and employee staff had to receive scores that are higher than 95 percent of the hospitals in the country. I am very proud to lead such a dedicated team."
The Hospital received the organization’s "Success Story" Award for employee satisfaction in 2006 and for patient satisfaction in 2012. It also received the "Guardian of Excellence" Award in 2013 for patient satisfaction and now for clinical excellence.
The Press Ganey "Guardian of Excellence Award" is a healthcare industry symbol of achievement. Fewer than 5 percent of all Press Ganey members reach this threshold and consistently maintain it for the one year reporting period. Press Ganey partners with more than 10,000 health care facilities, including more than half of all U.S. hospitals, to measure and improve the patient experience.
