NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is Once Again Named One of the Nation’s Top 10 Hospitals in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals

U.S. News & World Report recognizes NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital for its excellence in numerous specialties, including No. 1 in New York for cardiology and heart surgery.

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital has once again been recognized as one of the best hospitals in the nation, ranking No. 7 for the second consecutive year by U.S. News & World Report. This is the 19th year in a row that the Hospital has been cited among the top 10 hospitals in the nation. NewYork-Presbyterian ranks No. 1 in New York for cardiology and heart surgery.

The Hospital, one of the largest and most comprehensive healthcare systems in the country, ranks in the top five nationwide in six specialties: cardiology and heart surgery (No. 4); neurology and neurosurgery (No. 3); psychiatry (No. 4); diabetes and endocrinology (No. 4); urology (No. 5); and rheumatology (No. 3), a collaborative program with the Hospital for Special Surgery. NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital ranks in the top 20 in 14 of 15 specialties this year.

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is one of only 20 U.S. hospitals to be named to the 2022-23 Best Hospitals Honor Roll, a distinction recognizing hospitals that deliver the highest quality of care across a range of specialties, procedures, and conditions.

For the 2022-23 rankings and ratings, U.S. News evaluated more than 4,500 medical centers nationwide in 15 specialties and 20 procedures and conditions. The specialty rankings assess hospital performance in high-complexity areas of inpatient care, from cancer to urology.

A leader in medical education, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is the only academic medical center in the country affiliated with two world-class medical schools, Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and Weill Cornell Medicine.

Last month, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital was named New York’s No. 1 children’s hospital and among the best in the nation for children’s care, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2022-23 Best Children’s Hospitals rankings. The Hospital ranks No. 5 in the nation in pediatric cardiology and heart surgery, and among the top 50 hospitals nationally across all 10 pediatric specialties evaluated. This is the 16th year in a row that NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital has ranked among the best children’s hospitals. NewYork-Presbyterian provides pediatric care in every area of medicine at two major sites: NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital and NewYork-Presbyterian Komansky Children’s Hospital.
