NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital announced it is hosting the “Be Well Bash,” a wellness and injury prevention event for all ages. This free event will take place Saturday, September 29, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., rain or shine, on the front lawn of the Bronxville School, located at 177 Pondfield Road.

NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence is sponsoring this free program for K-12 student athletes, weekend warriors and seniors. The community can meet clinicians from the Columbia Orthopedics and Sports Medicine program, and specialists in primary care, cardiology and a host of specialties to learn about how to stay healthy and achieve their goals.  It will be an afternoon filled with activities from the NFL PLAY 60 Skills and Drills program and the New York City Football Club Street Team program; injury prevention workshops; music; food; entertainment; face painting and much more

“Whether you are young or ‘young at heart’, you can get yourselves active, fit and strong in a safe and healthy way, and we’ll show you how,” said Michael J. Fosina, MPH, FACHE, president of NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital. “The Be Well Bash will be a fun and casual way for our clinicians to meet the community and answer their questions.”

The Be Well Bash committee includes: Mayor Mary Marvin, Bronxville Chamber Executive Director Nicole Tuck, Bronxville Chamber Board Member Bob Krause, Bronxville School Athletic Director Karen Peterson and representatives from NewYork-Presbyterian and the Columbia Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Program.

“We are so excited and honored to be the host of what is truly a groundbreaking event in the world of sports and wellness,” said Mayor Mary Marvin. “We hope to be the home of such a positive community event for years to come.”
