McManus and Stephens Join Lawrence Hospital Center’s Board of Governors

Lawrence Hospital Center is pleased to announce the election of two new members to its Board of Governors. Michael A. McManus, Jr. is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Misonix, an Ultrasonic Medical Device Company. Prior to joining Misonix, McManus was the President and Chief Executive Officer and Director of New York Bancorp Inc. Mr. McManus also served as an Assistant to the President of the United States during the Reagan Administration. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Notre Dame and his Jurist Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center. Mike and his wife, Sandy have two children Mikey and Nina and they reside in Bronxville.
Nicholas A. Stephens is a Partner and Portfolio Manager at Edgewood Management LLC in New York City, where he serves on the firm’s investment and executive committees. He has also served as a Research Analyst and Director of Research and over the years has analyzed several companies in multiple industries. Stephens’ current area of focus is health care. The Chartered Financial Analyst is presently the Co-Chairman of the Investment Committee at The Reformed Church of Bronxville and sits on the board of The Greater New York Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Stephens earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature from Bennington College and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business. He and his wife, Lisa Kunstadter are the parents of two adult sons, Zachary and Richard. The family lives in Bronxville.
Stephens and McManus have each been appointed to serve a three year term as members of Lawrence Hospital Center’s Board of Governors. “We are very pleased that Mike and Nick have made themselves available to serve our community in this important way. We very much look forward to working with them,” states Dennis E. Glazer, Chairman of the Board of Governors. And, Edward M. Dinan, President and CEO of Lawrence Hospital Center adds, “We’re excited about having Mike and Nick on our team. They bring a wealth of knowledge as well as a new energy to the leadership.”
