Hudson Valley Hospital Center and the Ashikari Breast Center will hold the 2nd Annual Dr. Roy Ashikari Cancer Symposium on September 6 at Doral Arrowwood Conference Center in Rye Brook, NY.
"Advances in Screening, Treatment and Cancer Survival," will look at the latest developments and controversies in screening, diagnosis and treatment for the most common cancers.
The symposium, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., will feature eight presentations by noted local physicians and medical practitioners and include a continental breakfast and lunch. The keynote speakers, will speak on “How Genetics and Genomics Are Changing Cancer Treatment,” the exciting new area of Genomic profiling. This involves the analysis of tumors on a genetic level and the design of an individualized treatment plan.
