This group meets weekly on Tuesdays from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Breastfeeding Support Group focuses on providing encouragement and information for mothers and their newborns, from birth to three months old. New York Methodist Hospital hosts a free pulmonary hypertension (PH) support group. This group connects people with PH and educates them on treatments and new developments for the disease. New York Methodist Hospital offers a free surgical weight reduction information seminar and support group. This month the group will meet on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Executive Dining Room and on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Buckley 8 Conference Room. During the first 30 minutes of the seminar, a surgeon will conduct an information session for individuals who are interested in learning about surgical weight reduction. A 90-minute support group meeting, open to pre- and post-operative patients will follow the information session. The Division of Dental Medicine at New York Methodist Hospital and the American Dental Association will sponsor Give Kids A Smile Day! on Friday, February 7, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Children, ages one to 16, are invited to attend and receive free dental screenings, including sealant placement, cleanings, x-rays and more, if applicable.
