NewYork-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital's Internal Medicine physicians provide a wide range of non-surgical primary care services, including care for cardiovascular disease, diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders, and respiratory conditions such as asthma. These physicians are generally the first and most consistent provider of healthcare for patients, and also serve as the link between patients and physicians in other departments where patients may be referred for more advanced or specialty care.

All NewYork-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital physicians are on the faculty of Weill Cornell Medical College. Within the familiar setting of their community hospital, patients experience a level of care found in a leading academic medical center.
