NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital takes a family-centered approach to caring for mothers and newborns. Our experts prepare families with education and guidance after delivery, so you feel as ready as possible to bring your newborn home. We provide the following for you and your newborn:
- AI-powered fetal monitoring, which allows our doctors to track vital signs and detect potential risks in both mother and child
- Bonding support for you and your baby
- Breastfeeding and prenatal classes led by International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs)
- Essential newborn exams and screening
- A Level ll neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) with neonatologists from Weill Cornell Medicine

We offer a family-friendly environment designed for a smooth labor and delivery experience. Our facilities include:
- Eight labor and delivery rooms and one antepartum room
- Two surgical suites for cesarean deliveries
- Mix of private and semi-private postpartum rooms
Our rooms are fully furnished with rocking chairs, sofa beds for support persons, and a dining area for guests. These comfortable spaces provide new families with the privacy they need to rest, recover, and bond with their newborn.
Coming soon: expansion of state-of-the art maternity facilities
At NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan, we’re always striving to improve our patients’ experience. Our updated Maternity Center, coming in 2026, will feature:
