Interventional Radiology
The interventional radiology program at NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester is staffed by interventional radiologists from ColumbiaDoctors, the faculty practice of Columbia University Medical Center. The experienced team uses the latest imaging technologies to perform more than 1200 innovative and minimally invasive procedures annually. Utilizing these techniques the team treats many types of cancer, including tumors of the liver, kidneys, pancreas and lungs as well as metastatic disease to the liver and lungs. In addition, we are experts in the treatment of many women’s health disorders, including urologic and biliary obstruction as well as gastrointestinal problems. We also offer central venous access placement.
Further, the team at NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester specializes in using vascular and interventional imaging techniques to diagnose and treat a variety of vascular disorders. We use state-of-the-art fluoroscopy (real-time X-ray imaging), computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and catheter-based angiography, among other advanced technologies. These allow our physicians to visualize and treat internal organs with minimal disruption to the body and its overall function.
