NewYork-Presbyterian and Life Trustee William R. Rhodes share an unwavering belief that in order to provide the best care, empathy and clinical innovation must be central to every aspect of the healing process. A leading banker during some of the world’s most pressing financial crises, Mr. Rhodes has provided invaluable support to our efforts to treat complex diseases. Moreover, after his beloved wife, Louise, died of glioblastoma in 2016, Mr. Rhodes founded the William Rhodes and Louise Tilzer-Rhodes Center for Glioblastoma in tribute to her. Guided in part by the understanding that the most challenging illnesses require the most innovative approaches, Mr. Rhodes provided foundational support for a leading-edge center that uses a transformational, three-pronged approach to combat this lethal disease.
