2024 Heart Failure Research Institute Symposium

Exploring the Future of Research and Care

With myriad cardiac issues affecting the communities we serve, heart health is one of NewYork-Presbyterian’s major priorities.

In November our Hospital held the inaugural Heart Failure Research Institute Symposium, an afternoon forum featuring presentations from some of the leading clinician-scientists in fields such as cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, internal medicine, and more. Presenters examined topics such as the utility of artificial intelligence in heart care, variances in microcirculation, how research shapes the choices pharmacists decide, the clinical project application process, and other subjects involving cardiac care and technological innovation.

The symposium is facilitated by the Heart Failure Research Institute at NewYork-Presbyterian, a collaboration with Weill Cornell Medicine and Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons determined to transform the lives of those affected by heart failure and the care they receive. Comprised of world-renowned heart failure experts from NewYork-Presbyterian, Weill Cornell Medicine, and Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, the Heart Failure Research Institute provides education, grant opportunities, and a scholarship program for future leaders in the field.
