Performing artists are particularly vulnerable to ailments and injuries due to the unique physical demands of their profession. Often, symptoms that appear to be relatively mild can be disabling and even end a career. At NewYork-Presbyterian, our Centers for the Performing Artist offers students and professionals comprehensive and integrated care tailored to their specific performance needs and level of performance, while also addressing overall physical and mental health and well-being.
The Centers for the Performing Artist can coordinate care and provide access to the full range of specialties available and are available at both NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
