Rotation Schedule

NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital strictly adheres to the residency work hours regulations set by the ACGME. Pediatric residents have weekly continuity clinic sessions throughout the three years of training in the outpatient setting.

PGY 1

  • 1 month Adolescent Medicine
  • 1 month NICU
  • 1 month Child Development
  • 2 months Well Baby Nursery
  • 3 months General Pediatric Service (Inpatient)
  • 1 month Ambulatory Pediatrics (Outpatient)
  • 1 month Subspecialty
  • 0.5 month Quality Improvement
  • 0.5 month Research
  • 1 month Vacation

PGY 2

  • 1 month Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
  • 2 month General Pediatric Service (Inpatient)
  • 2 months Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
  • 3 months Subspecialty
  • 1 months Emergency Department
  • 0.5 month Walk In (Outpatient)
  • 1 month Community Medicine
  • 0.5 month Quality Improvement
  • 1 month Vacation

  • 1 month Emergency Department
  • 1 month PICU
  • 1 month Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
