Why Choose Us

Advanced, Compassionate Care Close to Home

Located on the northern tip of Manhattan, NewYork-Presbyterian Allen Hospital is one of the seven hospitals that comprise NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, one of the nation’s leading academic medical centers. We serve northern Manhattan, including the Washington Heights and Inwood neighborhoods, as well as Riverdale and the Bronx. Services are available in Spanish for our Spanish-speaking patients and their families.

NewYork-Presbyterian Allen is home to the Och Spine Hospital, where a renowned staff of orthopedic specialists provides the most innovative care for spinal conditions — from the most common disorders to the rarest and most difficult-to-treat deformities.

Our Emergency Room is open around the clock to serve adults and children in need of immediate medical attention. We receive over 45,000 patient visits each year. Patients with less severe illnesses and injuries can receive prompt care in our Fast Track area.

All NewYork-Presbyterian Allen Hospital physicians are also on the staff of NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. In addition, many of these physicians are on the faculty of the highly regarded Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. This allows us to offer our patients seamless access to clinical trials and the most advanced procedures available.
