The Department of Neurology at NewYork-Presbyterian Allen Hospital provides neurological consultation services for inpatients. Our neurologists are part of the Department of Neurology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center, a nationally recognized leader in neurological care. They are all board-certified in Neurology and are specially trained to help manage the often complex neurological diseases encountered in patients who are hospitalized or in the emergency room. Superior Stroke Care

Allen Hospital is designated by the New York State Department of Health as a Primary Stroke Center. In recognition of our exceptional and prompt stroke care, we received the Get with the Guidelines®-Gold Plus Award and Target Stroke Elite Honor Roll Award from the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association.

Neurological Assessment

We are able to provide CT and MRI scanning, as well as EEG monitoring as needed.

Convenient Locations

Neurology services are available at Allen Hospital as well at ColumbiaDoctors Riverdale. Patients who require neurological surgery are transferred to our colleagues at NewYork-Presbyterian Columbia for further care.
