We also offer inpatient physical therapy services at two acute inpatient rehabilitation units located at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center and NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.

Having a stroke or losing the function of a limb can have a major impact on your ability to move within your home and community. Physical therapists help you regain independence after an illness or injury by optimizing the ability to walk, improving coordination and balance, and helping to regain strength and motion in order to return to work and/or leisure activities.

  • Lite Gait ™ body weight support system to aid in walking
  • Video Frenzel or Infrared Goggles to aid in vestibular assessments
  • Biodex Balance Master™ to assess balance while standing and moving
  • Bertec™ Computerized Dynamic Posturography, combines virtual environments with balance force plate technology to provide both assessment and targeted therapy interventions for patients suffering from dizziness, balance problems and/or motion sensitivity.
  • Biofeedback for pelvic floor training
