Our Approach to Care

Comprehensive, Multidisciplinary Cancer Care for the Whole Body & Mind

We use a multidisciplinary approach to care, which means we bring together clinicians from different specialties and departments to ensure that you receive care for your whole body and mind, not just your cancer.

Our adult and pediatric patients can access the latest anti-cancer drugs, novel and targeted therapies, and emerging minimally invasive surgical procedures. We also have numerous support programs to help manage cancer’s emotional and physical challenges.

As a comprehensive academic medical center, we offer the full range of cancer care — from screening to early detection to treatment and recovery— and treatment for other conditions that may develop due to cancer or a pre-existing condition.

As part of your cancer treatment, you may have the opportunity to participate in a clinical trial. Clinical trials are studies of new treatments and diagnostic approaches. Almost every advance that has been achieved in medicine and has improved patients’ lives has come about as the result of clinical trials.
