Patient Inquiry
For patient inquiries, please contact our International Services office either by phone (212-746-9100) or by email internationalservices@nyp.org. Our International Services team will then ask you to submit a Patient Information form. Once our team has received your information a Regional Coordinator will be assigned to your case.
Medical Records
As soon as a Regional Coordinator is assigned to your case he or she will contact you for more information regarding your medical needs and request a copy of your medical records. Please make sure that your records are complete, in English, and include all relevant scans, x-rays and test results. If you need your medical records translated, our Coordinators can refer you to a translation service. Please speak with a Regional Coordinator prior to sending any medical records.
Medical Review
Once your Regional Coordinator receives a copy of your medical records, he or she will send them to the appropriate physician for review. If a NYP physician agrees to accept you as a patient, our Financial Counselors will create an Estimate of Charges based on the recommend course of treatment.
Estimate of Charges
Your Financial Counselor will send to you the Estimate of Charges, which will list the approximate cost of care. If you choose to receive your care at NYP, full payment of the estimate is required prior receiving any medical services. After payment is received, our Regional Coordinators will work with you to set up all medical appointments, arrange travel schedules, and assist you with travel documentation to ensure a seamless patient experience.
