The Divisions of Dental, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center provide extensive dental and orthodontic care, as well as clinical services for abnormalities and diseases affecting the mouth and related regions of the face and neck. The departments provide orthodontic care for both adults and adolescents, have an extensive service in the correction of dentofacial deformities, and have several surgeons expert in the treatment of temporomandibular joint syndrome. Specialists are also available for implant dentistry such as grafting procedures and extractions. The Center for Oral, Facial and Head Pain at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia is also uniquely specialized in the treatment of chronic pain.
