Awards and Recognition
The success of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is evidenced by its recognition by national publications and other groups who rank the country's top doctors and healthcare facilities. We have also been recognized for our leadership in health-related web site design and innovation.
We are proud to include the following awards of distinction and recognition of excellence:
- U.S.News & World Report's Honor Roll of America's Best Hospitals. A part of the Honor Roll since 1999, in 2008, NewYork-Presbyterian ranked 6th in the nation, the best of any New York area hospital. More
- Time 100. Joining such luminaries as the Dalai Lama, Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Steve Jobs, two of our physician–scientists – Dr. Mehmet Oz and Dr. Nicholas Schiff – have been named to Time 100, Time Magazines annual list of the top 100 most influential people in the world. More
- America's Top Doctors. The annual survey is conducted by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. and published in America's Top Doctors. In 2008, more physicians from NewYork-Presbyterian were named to America's Top Doctors than from any other hospital in the nation. More
- New York Magazine's 2008 Best Doctors. Of the 1,434 top doctors listed by the Magazine, 270 are NewYork-Presbyterian physicians More
- American Alliance of Healthcare Providers Hospital of Choice Awards. In 2007, we are honored to be a repeat recipient of this award, which recognizes "America's most customer-friendly hospitals". More
- eHealthcare Leadership Award. In 2007, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital was the recipient of numerous eHealthcare Leadership Awards for excellence in web site design by a healthcare provider. In addition to a silver award for Best Overall Internet Site, we proudly accepted several awards for Best Site Design: platinum awards for the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of NewYork-Presbyterian web sites, a gold award for Nursing at NewYork-Presbyterian, and a silver award for NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia Ortho. We also received a platinum award for Best Rich Media.
- Greystone Web Awards. NewYork-Presbyterian was the recipient of the 2007 Gold Award for Best Overall Web Site and the Silver Award for Best Redesigned Web Site from Greystone.net, a web solutions and services company for healthcare organizations. More
