Weill Cornell Cancer Center

The Weill Cornell Cancer Center (WCCC) is dedicated to excellence and leadership in

  • the advancement of all aspects of care for patients with cancer.
  • cancer research and treatment
  • the education and training of healthcare professionals

The Cancer Center's mission is to develop and expand research efforts with the potential to significantly enhance cancer prevention, detection, and treatment and improve patient outcomes.

Patient Care

The Weill Cornell Cancer Center is committed to providing the best care available to patients from our region, the rest of the country, and the world. All care is delivered in an environment that is compassionate and supportive, making the experience of cancer as seamless as it can be. Patients who are eligible for clinical trials of new treatments are offered participation in these vital studies, which are critical for the advancement of cancer care.

Comprehensive cancer care is provided at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in specialty centers (including the Breast Center, Iris Cantor Women's Center, Center for Lymphoma and Myeloma, and Jay Monahan Center for Gastrointestinal Health), and by the Divisions of Medical and Surgical Oncology and the Departments of Neurosurgery, Radiation Oncology, and Urology.

Research

Our scientists have a shared goal of characterizing the multiple independent, genetic, and environmental events that result in cancer. The Center's role is to coordinate and facilitate the activities of our investigators, encouraging collaboration wherever possible, and to apply the knowledge yielded by their studies to furthering the understanding and treatment of many types of cancer. Our researchers are seeking to develop new therapies for primary and metastatic disease, including novel treatments to suppress or reverse the molecular changes leading to cancer.

Locations

Outpatient and inpatient diagnostic and treatment facilities are located at our hospital on Manhattan's Upper East Side. Outpatient services are also provided at our world-class patient resource center in the Weill Greenberg Ambulatory Pavilion at 1305 York Avenue.
