About Us

NewYork-Presbyterian's Psychiatry Services offers the best psychiatric care in New York and is ranked as one of the best psychiatric providers in the nation by US News and World Report.

NYP and Its Medical Colleges

Patients treated at NewYork-Presbyterian's Psychiatry Services utilize the facilities and equipment of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and are cared for by doctors from the hospital's affiliated Ivy League medical colleges: Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and Weill Cornell Medical College.

This relationship allows patients to access advanced equipment often only available at large teaching hospitals such as NewYork-Presbyterian, and to be cared for by psychiatrists and psychologists who are also active university researchers and at the forefront of their particular fields. Additionally, these affiliations allow patients to receive coordinated care if they are also being treated for non-psychiatric issues such as heart disease or cancer.

Our Locations

NewYork-Presbyterian's Psychiatry Services offers psychiatric care to patients at three convenient locations: one on Manhattan's Upper East Side; another on the West side of northern Manhattan; and a third in White Plains, New York, on a 200-acre pastoral campus about 30 miles north of midtown Manhattan.

Your Choices for Types of Care

We provide each patient that comes to us with a comprehensive assessment of their condition and a customized treatment plan. From there, patients and their families can choose the level of care they would like to receive such as traditional sessions with doctors, day programs, or in-patient programs in a variety of comfortable settings.

Lastly, we offer a number of programs designed specifically for certain groups including children, adolescents, women, the Orthodox Jewish community, and older-adults.
