Mission Statement
The
Department of Social Work has four major functions reflective
of the hospital and the social work profession:
1.
To improve the quality of life for patients, families and significant
others while increasing the value and visibility of social work
to the hospital and hospital staff.
2.
To advocate for patients, families and their significant others
while understanding and working towards the goals and objectives
of the hospital and the center.
3.
To maintain and enhance professional social work standards.
4.
To provide education and training to the patient, families, graduate
studentŐs interdisciplinary hospital staff and the community at
large.
