The
Center for Special Studies is the New York Weill Cornell CenterÕs
HIV care program providing comprehensive team care to men, women
and children affected by HIV disease. Services for adults are
provided at two sites the Glenn Bernbaum Unit is at New York Weill
Cornell Center and at the Chelsea site, the David Rogers Unit,
at 119 West 24th Street, New York, New York.Ê These
are multidisciplinary programs that provide the highest quality
care to people with HIV/AIDS.Ê To this end, a cadre of care providers
has been assembled to assist adult and pediatric patients with
the psychological, social, and spiritual needs associated with
an HIV/AIDS diagnosis.
Your
social worker/case manager can assist you with both emotional
and practical concerns. Social workers provide individual and
family counseling, crisis intervention, education about HIV, insurance
and entitlement information, as well as, referrals to community
service agencies.Ê All programs are open Monday through Friday
from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
