Weill Cornell Cancer Center

Genetic Counseling

Women at risk of ovarian cancer because of a strong family history of the disease may consult with a genetic counselor and undergo genetic testing (for example, BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutation screening) at the Weill Cornell Cancer Center. Women who are found to carry such a mutation have a number of surgical and non-surgical options available to them to greatly decrease their risk of developing ovarian and fallopian tube cancer.
