Genitourinary cancers include those affecting the prostate, bladder, kidneys, testicles, urethra, and ureters.

At the Weill Cornell Cancer Center at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center patients with cancers of the kidney, bladder, and testes are treated through a multidisciplinary approach. For information about prostate cancer, please visit the prostate cancer section of this web site.

To create a personalized plan of care for each patient, at the Weill Cornell Cancer Center, we bring together a team of

  • urologic surgeons
  • medical oncologists
  • radiation oncologists
  • pathologists
  • radiologists
  • oncology nurses

Team members meet regularly to discuss each patient's care and progress.

Patients who require surgery are offered minimally invasive approaches whenever possible. Patients are offered access to clinical trials for which they may be candidates.
