The Laurie Bass Sklaver Annual Symposium

Each year, WAR addresses a major breast cancer or women's health issue in an evening-long program. The Laurie Bass Sklaver Annual Symposium allow us to address a particular topic in greater depth than in a lecture format, and feature presentations by multiple speakers as well as panel discussions and question and answer sessions.

Named in memory of our beloved friend, past President and Board Member, Laurie Bass Sklaver, who believed that knowledge was the first step in the fight against breast cancer, the symposium is supported each year, in part, by gifts made in her memory.

Women At Risk has hosted an annual symposium since 1997. In 2004, Women At Risk named the symposium in honor of Laurie Bass Sklaver. You can join us in honoring Laurie's memory and celebrating her life by making a gift to WAR and designating it as a donation to The Laurie Bass Sklaver Annual Symposium.
