  • Provide free, compassionate and comprehensive care to victims of violent crimes for ages 12 and above including, domestic violence, physical and sexual assault and elder abuse, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
  • Collaborate and coordinate the provision of care with other service providers in order to develop, expand and strengthen the array and delivery of comprehensive services to the adults and families affected by violent crime.
  • Provide violence prevention education to those at risk for becoming victims and for those community and health care providers who are in a position to identify and assist individuals and families affected by violence.

Who We Are

The DOVE staff is comprised of diverse and dedicated New York State licensed social workers and counselors who share a commitment to providing free and high quality clinical and advocacy services to survivors of all types of domestic and sexual violence. DOVE clinicians have a wide range of expertise in the treatment of trauma, from intimate partner violence to stranger rape, acquaintance and date rape, partner and marital rape and childhood sexual abuse.

In addition, DOVE recruits and trains Volunteer Advocates who are on-call 7 days a week, 365 days per year to provide support and advocacy to survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence in the Emergency Departments of New York Presbyterian Hospital.
