Studies have shown that women are twice as likely as men to experience anxiety or depression during their lives, particularly during times of hormonal changes. The Payne Whitney Women's Program at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City provides comprehensive care for mental health concerns that are unique to women. Areas of focus include pregnancy and the postpartum period, pregnancy loss and infertility, premenstrual mood disorders, and menopause.

The Program offers state-of-the-art consultation and a variety of treatment options. Services include consultations with partners and family members, support groups, individual and group counseling, and links to specialized treatment, including gynecology, endocrinology, and experts in sexual dysfunction.
